Taryn Takebayashi

Having grown up on the island of Oʻahu, Taryn has a deep love of nature and animals. She enjoys birdwatching and singing/songwriting in her free time. She previously taught Biology and Microbiology courses for Leeward Community College, UH West Oʻahu and UH Mānoa . She has a MS in Microbiology and is currently pursuing an MS in Computer Science to broaden her research and programming skills.

Current research interests include the processing of natural language in proteins. Her research advisor is Mahdi Belcaid.
