Jared McLean is pursing a Masterʻs in Computer Science at the University of Hawai‘i. McLean works with Hawai‘i EPSCoRʻs  ‘Ike Wai project on the Hawaiʻi Groundwater Recharge Tool, a user-friendly application designed to provide information on O‘ahuʻs groundwater-recharge rates based on a set of land-cover and rainfall scenarios. 

McLean was recently awarded The Science Gateways Community Institute (SGCI) Young Professional of the Year 2019 award.
