Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, Audrey moved to College Park, Maryland to attend the University of Maryland. She completed her undergraduate degree in Atmospheric Science with a concentration in GIS. In Fall of 2020, she moved to Hawaii to pursue her Masters degree in Atmospheric Science, completing the degree in 2022. She has since continued her education at the University of Hawaii at Manoa as a PhD student in Atmospheric Science. Audrey has taken on a wide array of interests, previously focusing on tropical cyclone activity in the North Atlantic and Central Pacific. Since then, she has turned her focus towards the impacts of interseasonal variability of the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) over the Hawaiian Islands. She currently works under the advisement of Dr. Giuseppe Torri.

Research Interests:

My current research focuses on the interseasonal variability of large-scale oscillations and their seasonal to sub-seasonal variations in the Central Pacific, particularly the Hawaiian Islands. More specifically, I am utilizing observational and reanalysis data to explore the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) and investigating how it affects the Hawaiian archipelago.
