Born and raised on the island of Oahu, Andy’s undergraduate studies were in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, completed in 2018. At the time, his interests were in virology and neuroscience. Then in the Fall of 2019, he enrolled in the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa Information and Computer Sciences program to pursue a Master’s in Computer Science.

Research Interests
Current research interests are in machine learning, data science, and natural language processing. Specifically, inferring meta information from table data, the semantic type prediction of data, and replacing missing table data with estimated values.
