BACKGROUND

Dr. Stokes is a Professor at the University of Hawaiʻi, and Chaminade University, in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. They are an NSF/NIH funded researcher and educator, teaching a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Biology/Medicine, Technology Commercialization. Dr.Stokes has also founded over half a dozen startup companies, is an inventor on multiple patents, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, and is an advocate for intersex rights, recognition, equity and inclusion.
