Seminar Abstract

This talk focuses on using machine learning methodologies to study the dynamics of chemical reactions. A variety of applications of reaction dynamics simulations accelerated with machine learning methodologies will be presented to highlight new research areas opened up as a result of the boost in efficiency.

Speaker Bio

Rui Sun received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Shandong University in China. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Texas Tech University and then worked as a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Chicago. Rui joined the Department of Chemistry in August 2017. He has won National Science Career Award, University of Hawaii Board of Regent Research Excellence Award, and Eli Lilly Research Award.
