We are recruiting a Research and Analysis Specialist to support our ongoing work to make data in Hawai‘i more accessible, meaningful and relevant for addressing pressing challenges. This role will be responsible for supporting the research and analysis needs of community partners across a range of topics and use cases, primarily centered around the domain of household assistance (e.g. housing, food security, etc.).
Our partners present a variety of use cases that require technical research and analysis support. Common support activities include defining the problem and developing research questions, inventorying internal and external data sources, setting up data flows, designing data collection schemes, cleaning and transforming data sources, conducting analyses, interpreting analysis results, establishing sustainable data workflows, training partner counterparts, providing data literacy workshops, and other activities needed to support a partner organization in achieving a research and analysis outcome.
Additional responsibilities may include supporting data systems and visualization/dashboard development to ensure that partner organizations have high quality access to the data products we co-develop. As such, familiarity with common data management systems, client relationship management (CRM) systems, data systems mapping, and visualization/dashboard development is desirable.
