Kyle Hart
- Data Science Fellow
Having moved on from a fruitful career as a professional translator and interpreter, Kyle is now pursuing a Ph.D. in computer science. His work is centered around the application of modern High Performance Computing (HPC), database, and machine learning technologies to the fields of astronomy and renewable energy.
Currently, Kyle is working as a researcher at the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae (ASAS-SN) at the Institute for Astronomy. In this position, he has served as the lead engineer for the ASAS-SN Sky Patrol system, which delivers live observational data on millions of astrophysical objects. In his upcoming work, he’ll be using satellite and ground-based imaging systems to build a predictive “atmosphere aware” scheduling system for automated telescopes.
