Yannik (Nick) was born and raised in Germany and, after completing high school there, moved to the states to pursue his higher education here. Nick got his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of North Georgia and is now pursuing his Master’s of Computer Science at UH.

Nick has done internships in both software engineering and data science and is currently enjoying his work as a research assistant.

His research interests are in machine learning and deep learning in particular. So far, his research has allowed him to collaborate with a broad range of other disciplines ranging from astronomy to medical imaging.
