Join the head of the U.S. National Science Foundation’s Directorate for STEM Education, James L. Moore III, for an informal meeting where Dr. Moore will get to know students and learn about their experiences and aspirations. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome.

NSF Funding Opportunities and Proposal Tips
(spotlighting NSF’s CAREER, opportunities for undergraduates, graduate students and postdocs)
Are you interested in learning about funding opportunities from the U.S. National Science Foundation? Have you always wanted to ask NSF staff what makes for a good proposal or how to make a good proposal great? In this session, you will learn about several funding opportunities and tips on developing your proposal submissions directly from NSF program directors. They will highlight NSF’s CAREER program, Graduate Research Fellowship Program, Postdoctoral Research Fellowships and opportunities for supporting undergraduates. You will learn the importance of intellectual merit, broader impacts and other required elements within a proposal submission. You will leave this presentation with valuable information on the essential elements of an NSF proposal and how to communicate your project more effectively to reviewers and NSF program directors and leaders.
