Hawai`i Climate Data Portal

Introduce workshop attendees to the Hawaii climate data portal tools and resources. Describe available data sets. Demonstrate how to access historical and near-real-time climate data via manual download or through Application Programming Interface (API). Describe how near-real-time models and decision support tools can be developed on the HCDP.
Knowledge of the Statistical Programming languages R or Python is preferable, but not required.
By the end of this workshop attendees will be able to:
Access climate data
Create data visualizations including maps and graphs
Develop near-real time applications
