Change Hawai’i Project Seminar
ABOUT EVENT
The current Hawaiʻi Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) Change(HI) project is a five-year, $20M National Science Foundation award to fund research, education and capacity building in support of actionable climate science. Change(HI) improves our understanding and builds resiliency to the impacts of climate change by incorporating climate science and data science tools in an unprecedented, multi-scale collaboration effort to promote climate-informed, data-driven discoveries.
This seminar will provide an overview of the project’s interdisciplinary climate and data science research. The research includes the Hawaiʻi Climate Data Portal an interactive user interface for quality climate data and information, ProjectTable for physicalization and interaction with data, Cloud Water Interception to answer ecological and hydrological questions, and more.
